Single suture knotless urethrovesical anastomosis

Vesicourethral anastomosis during radical prostatectomy is an important and often challenging step.
In this video, we present our technique with slight modification of this step.
We use one running barbed suture only to perform Rocco stitch, anastomosis and
bladder neck reconstruction without knotting.
All steps of the technique are shown in the video.
We have used this modification since 2015.
We suggest that this method is more comfortable and feasible for the surgeon as well as more cost effective.
