Introduction. The treatment of choice for patients who have iatrogenic stress urinary incontinence is implantation of an artificial urinary sphincter.
Objectives. The purpose of the movie is to present the technique of implantation of the artificial urinary sphincter ZSI 375 (Zephyr Surgical Implants, Geneva, Switzerland) in own modification.
Material and methods. Movie presents the procedure of implantation of the artificial urinary sphincter ZSI 375. Between July 2013 and March 2019, 74 patients underwent the artificial urinary sphincter ZSI 375 placement. The average time of operation was 1 hour and 10 min. (45 min. – 2 hours 30 min.).
Results. No patients experienced any early grade II-V complications of Clavien-Dindo classification. We haven't infections due to procedure. In medium-term follow-up we have noticed 3 mechanic failures of the artificial sphincter and 10 episodes of erosion.
Conclusions. The artificial urinary sphincter is well tolerated, effective and recommended for male SUI treatment in urological guidelines. The procedure of implantation of the artificial urinary sphincter ZSI 375 is allegedly safe, short and effective. The good results of implantation depends on patient's qualification. We need larger research group to confirm these results and define possible complications.
